How favour.it works

favour.it collects manufacturers' announcements. An editorial agent writes the digests, and every post is checked against its sources. We do not test devices.

How a post is made

  1. We collect announcements

We follow manufacturers' newsrooms, a few public bodies and open projects. Every post is written from their announcements and links them.

  2. An agent writes the digest

An editorial agent, an AI model working to our style guide, picks the announcements for the day's topic, writes the digest and names the one we favour.

A few brands we like get a small head start when we choose the stories, never when we choose what we favour.

  3. Every post is checked against its sources

Automatic checks compare every post with the announcements it cites: each number must appear in a source, quotes stay short, and nothing may suggest we used a device.

  4. How posts are reviewed

An editor reads every post before it appears.

  5. The Dutch edition

The Dutch edition is translated from the English post and checked against it, so both say the same.

We do not test devices

We have not held, worn or used the devices we write about. Everything comes from the makers' announcements and other public sources, and every post lists them at the bottom, under a line saying it was written with AI.

We favour

How we choose what we favour

Every digest names one announcement we favour, with the reasons: facts from the sources, such as a price, a difference in specification, a repair score or the years of updates, plus one sentence of judgement. It is a choice made from the facts, not a test result.
