Samsung pushes Micro RGB TVs in the UK as Amazon puts Fire TV in Echo Show 16
Few makers announced audio or TV products this week. Samsung kept talking up its Micro RGB televisions, and Amazon’s Echo launch last week included a screen with Fire TV built in. Neither gave a European price.
Samsung’s Micro RGB TVs span 55 to 115 inches
Micro RGB is Samsung’s name for a TV backlight made of red, green and blue LEDs, which Samsung says measure less than 100 micrometres each. The company’s UK newsroom described the 2026 range last week, and Samsung Global added a video explainer on 3 November, so this is promotion of existing TVs rather than a launch. Samsung says the range runs from 55 to 115 inches and that the flagship R95H has a VDE-certified 100% coverage of the BT.2020 colour area through its Micro RGB Precision Color 100, according to its published UK specification. Samsung adds that colour performance varies with content and settings. Neither release gives a price or a retail date for Europe.

Why we favour it: it is the only item this week with a UK source and a stated size range, from 55 to 115 inches, plus a colour-coverage figure that comes with a certifier’s name. The weakness is the missing price, so treat it as a model line to watch rather than a purchase.
Amazon puts Fire TV in the Echo Show 16
The Echo Show 16 is mainly a smart display, but Amazon says it has the full Fire TV experience built in, which makes it a small TV as well. Amazon describes a 16-inch full HD screen that is nearly 40% thinner than before with 10% more viewing area, and a Nanomatte option that it says cuts glare by more than 90%. Preorders start at $499.99, or $569.99 for the Nanomatte version, with $100 off during preorder. Those are US prices; Amazon has not given European pricing or availability.

Echo Studio with Home Camera is to pair with Fire TVs
In the same announcement Amazon says that, soon, you will be able to pair the Echo Studio with Home Camera with compatible Fire TVs to make video calls on the TV screen. Amazon gives no date for that feature. We covered the speaker’s launch in our previous audio digest, where Amazon gave only US prices. That has not changed: the Echo Studio with Home Camera costs $249.99 and the standard Echo Studio $219.99, both US prices, and Amazon has given no European pricing or availability.
