Switch 2, AirPods 5 and an instax mini 13 for the Sinterklaas list
Games and consoles turn up on 10.7% of Sinterklaas wish lists, according to a count of the lists on the Dutch wishlist site Wilgraaghebben.nl. Clothing leads that count at 32.9%. Below are three gadgets whose makers state a euro price: a console, a pair of earbuds and an instant camera.
Nintendo Switch 2 now costs €499.99 in Nintendo’s store
Nintendo raised the price of the Switch 2 on My Nintendo Store in Europe on 1 September 2026, from €469.99 to €499.99 including tax. The company pointed to changes in market conditions, and it raised the price in the US and Canada on the same day. Those are Nintendo’s own store prices; other shops set theirs.
Demand has not been the problem. Nintendo says it had sold 23.68 million Switch 2 consoles worldwide by 30 June 2026, and 58.17 million units of software for it. For a family that wants one console for both the television and the train, it is the obvious candidate, at a price that went up rather than down this autumn.

AirPods 5 bring noise cancelling to both models
Apple’s Dutch store lists the AirPods 5 at €149, or €169 with a wireless charging case that adds a pressure sensor for swiping the volume and a longer battery life. Both versions have active noise cancelling. Apple says they cancel up to 1.5 times as much noise as the AirPods 4 with noise cancelling, and claims up to 4 hours of listening on a charge with it switched on.
Neither box contains a USB-C cable or a power adapter, so check that the household has one before the present is unwrapped. Lossless audio and heart-rate sensing stay with the AirPods Pro 3, which Apple sells for €249. Noise cancelling at the entry price is the reason to put these on a list.

The instax mini 13 prints photos on the spot for €89.99
Fujifilm lists the instax mini 13 at €89.99 on its Belgian instax site, in five colours. It has a selfie mirror, a close-up mode, automatic exposure and flash control, and a self-timer of 2 or 10 seconds. It runs on two AA batteries, which Fujifilm says last about 10 packs of film with 10 exposures each.
The film, which comes out as credit-card-sized prints, is sold separately. The running cost is the film rather than the camera, so a pack or two belongs in the same parcel.
