Android XR glasses, Samsung Micro RGB and Bambu Lab's H3C printer
Most of this week’s stories came without European prices. Google’s XREAL AURA glasses and Samsung’s Micro RGB TVs had none, and Raspberry Pi quoted only dollars for its memory-driven price rises. Of the stories here, only Bambu Lab’s H3C printer came with prices in euros and pounds.

XREAL AURA brings Android XR to wired glasses, but not yet to Europe
Tuesday’s wearables digest covered the XREAL AURA, which Google calls the first wired XR glasses powered by Android XR. Google says the glasses weigh under 95 grams because the battery and the Snapdragon Reality Elite chip sit in a separate compute puck on a cable.
Orders opened on 28 October in the US, Canada and Korea, and on 2 November in Japan, with launch pricing from $1,099 through the end of the year. Google named no European country and gave no European price, so on Tuesday a reader in Europe could not order. Whether the AURA reaches Europe, and at what euro price, is still open.
Wednesday 4 NovemberAudio & TV
Samsung talks up Micro RGB TVs from 55 to 115 inches
Wednesday’s audio and TV digest described Samsung’s Micro RGB range as promotion of existing TVs rather than a launch. Micro RGB is Samsung’s name for a backlight of red, green and blue LEDs. Samsung’s UK newsroom says the range runs from 55 to 115 inches, and that the flagship R95H has a VDE-certified 100% coverage of the BT.2020 colour area. Samsung adds that colour performance varies with content and settings.
Neither Samsung release gave a price or a retail date for Europe. In the same digest, Amazon’s Echo Show 16 with Fire TV built in had, on Wednesday, US preorder prices from $499.99 and no European pricing.
Thursday 5 NovemberComputing & gaming
Memory costs push Raspberry Pi prices up as Microsoft tunes Windows 11
Thursday’s computing digest set two memory stories side by side. Raspberry Pi raised the price of the 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 by $80, to $385, and the 16GB Compute Module 5 variants by $40, blaming a lack of alternative supply for 16GB DRAM. It gave dollar prices only, and says it looks forward to rolling the increases back when memory costs fall.
Microsoft says Windows 11 is up to 20% more responsive on PCs with 8 GB of memory, from version 26H2, build 26300.9818 or later. The figures are Microsoft’s own, and it gave no European pricing for 8 GB PCs. The question is whether software tuning can offset dearer memory.
Friday 6 NovemberCameras & gear
Bambu Lab’s H3C is the printer with euro and pound prices
Friday’s gear digest picked the H3C as its favourite, a story we first reported on Thursday in our news post. Instead of one print head, it has nine print tools, each with its own filament path and heating. Bambu Lab says this cuts the switch between materials to under 6 seconds.
In the EU the H3C with its AMS 3H filament system costs €2,499 including tax; in the UK it is £2,199. The Station bundle with the enclosed stand and air purifier is €3,039. Bambu Lab gave no European shipping date. It also says the H2D, H2C and X2D will get multi-orifice nozzle printing, some of it this year and the rest by the first quarter of 2027.
This week we favour
Bambu Lab’s H3C. Friday’s gear digest called it a new kind of machine for Bambu Lab rather than a refresh, with a price stated in euros and pounds including tax. The switching time is Bambu Lab’s Bambu Lab’s own claim, so independent reviews still have to show whether it holds.
